Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico, Inc. (CAASNM) is a non-profit organization that works with people of limited resources to increase their independence and quality of life.  We are a team-oriented workplace that collaborates with many community groups to help people become self-sufficient and empowered to pursue their future goals.  We are recruiting for the following position (s):

PARENT EDUCATOR/HOME VISITOR

The Parent Educator/Home Visitor will serve a critical role in supporting families of children 0-3 years of age in the areas served by CAASNM. As a well-qualified professional in early child development, they will facilitate home visits in an environment where the family members feel both safe and secure. The position provides supportive encouragement, information, and referrals for families that may need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.  The program uses the New Mexico Home Visiting and Parents as Teachers evidence-based curriculum standards.

Computer literacy, solid communication and reporting skills, and an ability to work with people of all socioeconomic groups is a must.  A valid NM driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for insurability.  The position is subject to drug and alcohol testing and background check when mandated by CAASNM or government agency.  CAASNM is an EEO and “at will” Employer.

HOME VISITING MANAGER

These standards are to be met with fidelity in both a respectful and best practices approach.
