Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico, Inc. Human Resource Specialist

This position is a shared position between two great community organizations: La Casa, Inc. and Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico. The selected candidate is expected to complete the duties below for both organizations.

HR Specialist Position Description

Parent Educator

Home Visiting Parent Educator will serve a critical role in partnering &  supporting families of children 0-3 years of age in the areas served by Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico (CAASNM). As a well-qualified professional in early child development, they will facilitate home visits in an environment where the family members feel both safe and secure, facilitate group activities monthly for families in areas of child development & long term outcomes of family well being . The position provides supportive encouragement, information, and referrals for families that may need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life. The program uses the New Mexico Home Visiting Standards and Parents as Teachers evidence-based Curriculum. These standards are to be met with fidelity in both a respectful and best practices approach.

This is a temporary, part-time position with the potential to become a full-time position and will stay open until filled.  You may pick up an application at 3880 Foothills Road Ste A, Las Cruces NM from 8 am–12 noon or 1 pm–5 pm, Monday through Friday at the Receptionist desk or visit our website at caasnm.org.  A completed application, resume and cover letter is required to be considered for the position.
