CAASNM established a new award in honor of Larry Cottingham, community volunteer, in recognition of his 11 years of service to the joint AARP-Community Action Agency free tax preparation program. The Larry Cottingham Community Action Award was presented to Cottingham at an annual recognition luncheon for the more than 40 volunteers who helped CAASNM prepare some 9,800 individual tax returns in 2018. These volunteers provided 4,300 hours of service to 4,900 members of the community.
